A structured black leather briefcase for meetings, commutes and long office hours. It carries a laptop and a day of paperwork without losing its clean line, and the smooth, understated panels look at home in a boardroom or on a crowded train platform. Black is easy to match with a suit or a smart casual outfit.
It is cut from full-grain cowhide, and the structured panels hold their shape through repeated use. A full top zip opens the bag wide for packing at a desk or a security checkpoint. Inside the main compartment, a padded sleeve holds a laptop up to 15 inches, with a slip pocket beside it for a phone, cables or a slim notebook. A single zip pocket across the front keeps a boarding pass, badge or keys within reach. Two rolled leather top handles take it by hand, and a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap with swivel hook clasps moves it to the shoulder.
The main compartment is about 42 cm (16.5 in) wide, enough for folders and a notebook alongside the laptop. Carry it by hand between meetings and on the shoulder for a longer walk. With the strap unclipped, it sets down flat on a desk or slides into carry-on luggage without hardware in the way.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
