A black leather backpack for the man who carries a full workday and still cares how he looks getting there. The clean rectangular outline and pebbled cowhide exterior fit a boardroom lobby as naturally as a subway platform. Nothing shouts and nothing sags.
The exterior is genuine cowhide with a fine pebbled grain that resists minor scuffs and softens with use. The main compartment opens wide to a padded laptop sleeve that fits up to 15 inches, a document slot and an interior zip pocket for cards, cables or a passport. Two front zip pockets give quick access to a phone or charger, and the dual-pull metal zippers close flush. Hardware is brushed silver throughout, from the zipper pulls to the D-ring. A cotton canvas lining protects your things and wipes clean. A reinforced top handle and padded, adjustable shoulder straps share the load, and the structured back panel keeps its shape. A luggage sleeve on the back slides over a rolling carry-on handle.
It is compact enough for overhead bins and under-seat storage on most domestic flights. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth, condition the leather every three to four months, and stuff it with tissue when stored.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
