A men's braided leather belt in top-grain leather with a brushed buckle: a relaxed belt for chinos and jeans, one size 37 to 45 in.
Here, strands of top grain leather are plaited into a dense, chunky weave with a satisfying basket-like pattern, anchored by a smooth leather tab and a tipped end. The broader braid gives it a slightly more rustic, countryside character than a slim dress belt, which suits tweed, cord and denim particularly well.
A brushed-finish pin buckle with a squared frame keeps the hardware understated, so attention stays on the weave. As with any braided belt, the prong slides between the strands wherever you need it, giving a precise fit without relying on punched holes. A single size covers 37 to 45 inches. Choose classic black, a warm chocolate brown, or a muted olive-toned green that pairs naturally with earthy autumn colours.
The green is an unexpected and rather handsome partner for navy knitwear and brown brogues, while the brown is the dependable all-rounder for chinos and moleskins. Black handles darker trousers and smarter evenings. It makes a thoughtful present for someone who already owns the plain essentials and would appreciate something with more character, and it looks at home beneath a waxed jacket with a tweed flat cap on top.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
