A full-size desk mat cut from genuine cowhide leather with a vintage, oil-tanned brown finish. Your laptop, keyboard and mouse sit on one surface, so the setup looks finished instead of cluttered with separate pads. Each hide takes the finish a little differently, so grain and tone vary slightly from one mat to the next.
The underside is the natural suede side of the hide: it grips wood, glass and laminate so the mat stays put while you work, and it protects the desk finish from scratches. Contrast stitching runs around the edge to keep it neat. The top surface handles a warm laptop or a hot mug, and optical and laser mice track directly on the leather. An integrated leather strap with a snap keeps the mat rolled for storage or a move between home and office.
The small size takes a laptop and a mouse or a compact keyboard. The medium takes a full-size keyboard and mouse with room for a phone, and the large takes keyboard, mouse, notebook and coffee. Measure the free space in front of your monitor first and leave a little desk visible on each side. Blot small spills right away. If it arrives with roll marks, lay it flat for 24 to 48 hours with a few books on top. Light marks and a slight darkening with use are part of real leather.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.

Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
