A leather bag that straps to the thigh, so the load sits low and does not swing or dig into the stomach. Motorcycle riders use it for that reason, and it works just as well at festivals, on trails and on travel days. Leave the leg strap loose and it wears at the hip like a regular belt bag when you are off the bike.
The body is crazy horse cowhide with a polyester lining, an oiled pull-up leather that darkens and softens with wear. It resists light rain only and is not waterproof. The main zip pocket fits an 8.3 inch iPad mini and any current phone. Inside, a compartment with a magnetic closure holds four card slots, so phone, wallet and keys each have a place. The waist belt adjusts, and so does the leg strap.
About the size of a paperback book, it carries the day's essentials without a backpack. For a larger waist than the belt allows, add a belt extension, which is not included, or thread your own belt through the back loop. Wipe with a soft dry cloth and rub in a little leather balm every three to six months. It comes in coffee, and the phone, tablet and cards in the photos are not included.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
