A men's distressed cowhide leather belt with a gunmetal pin buckle: a rugged, vintage-style belt for jeans and boots.
This one is made from top grain cowhide given a distressed, burnished finish, with darker shading at the edges and lighter tones across the centre that lend it a well-travelled, vintage character from the first day. A gunmetal pin buckle with a ribbed detail at the side and a matching leather keeper complete a design with real personality.
The colours lean into that aged look. Black has a softly faded surface rather than a flat sheen; brown is a deep, mottled shade; and reddish brown is a warm, almost chestnut tone with plenty of variation. The finish draws the eye to the grain of the leather rather than to the hardware. Lengths run from 41 to 51 inches, giving a comfortable fit with jeans, workwear and relaxed trousers.
Its natural home is with denim, a worn leather jacket or a heavy overshirt, but the brown versions also suit cords and a tweed jacket for a more traditional look. It makes a good gift for a man who prefers character to polish, and whose wardrobe favours boots over brogues. Finish the look with a weathered flat cap and a knitted scarf for a quietly rebellious, workshop-heritage feel.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
