This duffle is cut from full-grain leather with a rugged, waxy-looking surface that shows its character from the first day and, with use, develops a deeper patina that records every journey. Twin buckled straps across the front and a pair of sturdy carry handles give it the honest, purposeful look of a traditional travelling holdall.
Practicality is built in throughout. Two zipped exterior pockets keep tickets, a passport or a phone within easy reach, while the interior offers multiple compartments with a secure zip closure for smaller essentials. A soft cotton lining protects the contents, and metal rivets on the base let you set the bag down on a station platform or hotel floor without scuffing the leather. Reinforced stitching and sturdy metal hardware hold everything together.
Carry it by hand for a short dash, or clip on the removable, adjustable leather strap with its shoulder pad when the walk is longer. Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
