A men's top-grain leather automatic belt with a knurled gunmetal buckle: adjusts in small steps, in lengths up to 63 inches.
This version pairs a top grain leather strap with a substantial buckle in a brushed gunmetal finish, its sides edged with a fine knurled texture that adds grip and a touch of engineering to an otherwise minimal design.
The strap is offered in a deep black and a rich mid brown, both with a neat, understated surface that suits tailoring. Beneath, a notched track engages the buckle mechanism, so the belt holds firmly where you set it and releases easily when you need to adjust it. Lengths run from 41 inches up to 63 inches, which makes it a genuinely useful option for taller or broader men who struggle to find a good belt in their size.
Wear the black with charcoal and navy suits, the brown with lighter tailoring, flannels and brogues. It is equally at home at a client dinner or a family celebration, and it makes a straightforward gift since the ratchet track allows a precise fit. Paired with a well-pressed shirt, a wool overcoat and a classic flat cap for the walk home, it completes a quietly assured look.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
