A men's genuine leather automatic belt with a brushed striped buckle: adjusts in small steps for a precise, everyday fit.
The strap is genuine leather with a finely textured surface and stitched edges, and the buckle is a curved metal alloy plate with a brushed, striped finish that shifts subtly from bright to dark across its face. It reads as precise and modern without leaning on logos or decoration.
An automatic mechanism does away with holes altogether. The buckle grips a notched track on the inside of the strap, so you can fine-tune the fit in small steps for comfort at the desk and release it with ease. It is offered in black and in a dark brown, in lengths of 43, 45, 47, 49 and 51 inches. The buckle tone works equally well with either colour, and with silver or steel watches.
Wear the black with navy, charcoal and black suiting, and the brown with lighter greys, tweeds and odd trousers. It is understated enough for a conservative office, yet smart enough for a dinner or a wedding reception. As a gift for a promotion, a new role or a father who still wears a suit every day it is a reliable choice, and it pairs well with a wool flat cap and an overcoat for the commute.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
