A refillable leather journal cover for anyone who writes every day and wants a notebook that improves with age. It is unisex. When the paper insert is full, you slide in a new one and keep the same leather cover for years.
The cover is cut from genuine crazy horse leather, waxed and oiled, and supple enough to open flat on a desk. It marks and darkens with handling, so after a few months it carries the shape of your hand and your bag. Tone varies slightly from one cover to the next. An elastic band wraps the cover and keeps the pages closed. One thick insert is the most comfortable to carry, and two thin inserts can share the cover with an extra elastic band. Choose dark brown, brown, black or tan.
Measure the notebook you already use before choosing a size. The Standard cover holds slim traveler style inserts, so a narrow, tall notebook belongs there. The A5 cover holds classic A5 notebooks, so a regular notebook belongs in A5. You receive the leather cover and its elastic closure band. The paper insert is not included, which lets you pick lined, dotted, blank or planner pages. The notebook, pen, watch and other items in the photos are not included.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
