A small men's messenger bag that pairs 16 oz waxed canvas with genuine top-grain leather trim, a combination that looks better the more you use it. The compact frame carries just enough for a commute, a weekend errand run or a light workday without becoming a bulky shoulder bag. Side buckle straps give the whole bag a structured, vintage outline.
The waxed canvas shell handles everyday wear, from a rainy commute to a dusty weekend trip, and softens over time. Leather trim on the flap, strap and hardware points adds durability where the bag takes the most stress. A flap secured by a leather strap and buckle closes the main compartment, and a cotton lining adds a soft layer inside. An open front pocket sits under the flap for a phone, wallet or transit pass, and an interior slot pocket keeps keys or cards apart. The canvas and leather strap adjusts and is held by metal hardware at each end.
It holds a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses and a small 8 inch tablet. It is not designed for laptops or 11 inch tablets. Wear it across the body or higher on one shoulder. Keep a transit pass in the front pocket for the commute, and let the waxed canvas and leather build character with every trip.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
