A canvas messenger bag made for the walk from the door to the office and back. It is sized to sit close to the body, neither bulky nor oversized, a plain bag for men who carry the essentials and nothing more. The front flap closes over two buckle straps, giving it a grounded, no-nonsense look that works over a T-shirt as easily as a light jacket.
The body is washed canvas, chosen for how it softens and ages with use, and it holds its shape day after day. Crazy horse leather trim reinforces the straps and closure points, where the bag takes the most stress, and gives it a worn-in character from the start. Inside, a dedicated phone pocket keeps your phone within reach, a zippered pocket handles keys, cards or a charging cable, and an open slot pocket gives a second quick spot. A wide adjustable strap keeps the bag settled at the hip on a crowded train or sidewalk.
The main compartment stays open and simple, so it adapts to a notebook, a water bottle or a light jacket folded on top. It carries easily over one shoulder and sits flat when set down. It comes in khaki, green and black.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.

Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
