A men's western belt with a sculpted skull buckle on a split leather strap: a bold statement belt for jeans, gigs and festivals.
Rather than a flat plate with an engraved design, the buckle is cast in three dimensions, with deep eye sockets, defined cheekbones and a full set of teeth, all finished in an antiqued silver tone that darkens in the hollows. It has the feel of a small piece of sculpture worn at the waist.
The skull stands roughly 10.9 centimetres tall and 7.9 centimetres wide and weighs around 158 grams, giving it real weight and presence on the belt. The metal alloy buckle attaches to the strap by a snap-fastened loop, as shown in the product photographs. The strap is smooth split leather in black or dark brown, offered in nine lengths from 35 to 51 inches.
With this much presence, the rest of the outfit should be kept simple: black or indigo jeans, a plain T-shirt or work shirt, and boots. It is at home at a gig, a festival, a motorcycle meet or a night out with friends. A plain dark flat cap adds a touch of old-school polish without competing for attention. For gift buyers, it suits the man who already owns the sensible belts and wants one that speaks a little louder.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
