A structured men's leather briefcase for someone who carries a 14 inch laptop and paper files every day and wants one bag that looks right in a meeting. It comes in black only, the easiest color to wear with suits and business casual alike.
The shell is genuine cowhide with a pebbled grain and light contrast stitching. The grain hides small scratches and keeps a crisp, structured shape. There are two zip compartments. The first holds a padded laptop sleeve, a zippered pocket, a phone pocket and an elastic pen loop. The second is a separate document area with its own zip pocket for files, a notebook or a folder, so paper never rubs against the screen. Reinforced corners protect the base when the bag is set on the floor. Carry it by the twin top handles, or clip on the detachable, adjustable shoulder strap, which is included.
The sleeve fits laptops up to 14 inches. A 15.6 or 16 inch laptop will not fit, so choose a larger briefcase for those. Beyond the laptop, there is room for a folder, a notebook, a charger and a phone. Take it by hand into a meeting and put it on the shoulder for the commute. Wipe it with a dry cloth and condition the leather a few times a year.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
