A brown leather backpack made from full-grain cowhide, the grade known for its strength, natural grain and the way it ages with use. Each bag shows small variations in tone and texture, so every one takes on its own character over time. The structured outline and rich brown finish give it a traditional look for men who value durable, honest materials.
The flap closure is more than a design detail: it adds a layer of protection against accidental opening, light rain and quick hands in crowded places. A reinforced buckle system holds it shut while keeping a clean, vintage profile. Under the flap, a wide opening gives easy access while the bag keeps its shape. Inside are spacious compartments, a dedicated laptop sleeve for devices up to 15 inches and further pockets to separate documents, accessories and personal items. Adjustable padded shoulder straps spread weight evenly, and a reinforced top handle lets you pick it up quickly.
Carry a laptop, a folder, a charger and the day's small things to the office, or use it for getting around the city at the weekend. Wear it with a tweed jacket, a navy overcoat or a knit and dark trousers, and let the leather age with use.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
