A convertible leather bag with three ways to carry it: a solid top handle, two backpack straps and a long shoulder strap. Carry it by hand into a meeting, switch to backpack straps for the commute or wear it on one shoulder. The upright shape stays neat in every mode, and both strap sets come with the bag.
The shell is crazy horse cowhide, an oiled and waxed leather with a pull-up effect: it lightens where it bends and darkens with handling, so each bag ages a little differently. The straps clip on with antique brass swivel hooks and can be removed, and two buckled straps keep the look of a classic satchel. Inside, a padded sleeve takes a laptop up to 14 inches, with document slots and pen and phone pockets. Choose the Double Strap version for a clean flat front under the flap, or the Front Pocket version, which adds a flap pocket with a push-lock clasp for a phone, keys or a transit card.
It is roughly the size of a mid-size daypack and holds a laptop, a book and a charger with the flap closed; 15 or 16 inch laptops do not fit. The oiled leather resists light rain but is not waterproof, so blot it and let it air dry away from heat. Wipe with a dry cloth and apply leather balm every few months.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
