A men's canvas messenger bag made of sturdy cotton canvas for a rugged, casual look that holds up to daily use. It is sized for the essentials you actually carry, not for show. The single adjustable strap rides across the body, so the bag stays put through a commute, a day on campus or a weekend errand run.
Two front pockets close with buckled straps, giving a quick way to reach a phone, keys or a transit card without opening the main compartment. The main compartment closes with a zipper, keeping the rest of your things secure on a crowded platform or a busy street. Inside, a slot pocket and a dedicated cell phone pocket keep small items from sinking to the bottom, and a separate interior zip pocket holds anything you want out of sight. Trim details add a little contrast without adding bulk.
The layout means less searching at the till or the gate and more of the day spent moving. The canvas build is light enough for all-day wear. Wear it over a T-shirt in summer or a field jacket in autumn, and keep the transit card in a front pocket. It comes in black and khaki.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
