A men's cowhide leather belt with a solid polished brass buckle, in lengths up to 63 inches: a classic belt and a gift for him.
The strap is cut from cowhide leather with a smooth, softly glossy surface and a reassuring thickness, while the buckle is a classic pin design in solid brass, polished to a warm golden shine. A brass-headed stud fixes the buckle end, and a broad leather keeper keeps the tail tidy and secure.
It comes in black or a deep, chocolate-toned brown, both of which contrast handsomely with the brass. The real strength of this belt is its range of sizes: lengths run from 41 inches right up to 63 inches, so taller and larger men can find a fit that is made for them rather than stretched to suit. The rounded rectangular buckle has a gently vintage look that complements heavier fabrics such as denim, cord and moleskin.
Pair it with mid-blue or raw denim, a flannel shirt and leather boots for a timeless weekend outfit, or with moleskin trousers and a tweed jacket for a country lunch. The black version also works with dark trousers and a knitted tie. It is a straightforward, well-judged gift for a man who wears jeans most days, and pairs naturally with a classic wool flat cap and a waxed jacket.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
