A genuine cowhide leather backpack with a clean cylinder outline and a structure that holds its shape day after day. It is sized for the office, the commute and the weekend errands in between, and it reads as work-ready rather than outdoorsy.
Two buckle straps on the front give it a heritage look without weighing down the design. The main compartment holds 18.5 liters, with a padded interior compartment for laptops up to 14 inches and room left for a folder or a light jacket. A zippered inner pocket and a dedicated phone pocket keep smaller items away from the laptop, so cables and keys stay easy to find. Outside, a zip front pocket handles the things you reach for often, and a side pocket keeps a water bottle within reach on the walk to work. Adjustable padded shoulder straps carry the load evenly, and a top handle lets you lift it off a coat rack or a car seat.
The capacity moves easily between a light working day and a heavier packed one: a laptop, a notebook, a charger, lunch and a spare layer. Black is the sharper choice for the office; coffee is warmer and suits tweed, corduroy and weekend clothes.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.

Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
