A men's genuine leather ratchet belt with a two-tone buckle and a notched track for a precise fit: a smart belt and an easy gift.
The strap is genuine leather, 3.5cm wide, with a smooth finish and neat edge stitching that keeps the profile slim beneath a jacket. Its real distinction is the buckle: a polished metal alloy plate framed in bright silver, with an inset panel that picks up the colour of the strap for a coordinated, unbroken line at the waist.
On the reverse, a fine notched track runs along the strap, letting the buckle hold the belt at small increments for a closer fit than a traditional row of holes allows. Three colours are offered. Black is the natural choice for the office and dark suiting. Chalk White is bolder, made for summer weddings, linen and light trousers. Camel Tan, a soft tan, works with navy, grey and stone alike. Lengths run from 43 to 51 inches.
Wear the black with a charcoal two-piece on a Monday, the camel with blue chinos and a crisp shirt on a Friday, and save the white for occasions that call for a lighter touch. It is a considered gift for a new job, a promotion or a groomsman's thank-you, and pairs well with a smart herringbone flat cap and an overcoat when the commute turns cold.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
