A men's split leather ratchet belt with a red, white and blue buckle: adjusts in small steps for a precise fit.
The buckle itself is a smooth black alloy plate with softly curved edges, fitted to a strap of split leather with a lightly grained surface, neat stitched edges and a pale, natural-toned reverse. It is a quietly distinctive take on the familiar business belt.
The fastening is automatic: the buckle locks onto a notched track on the inside of the strap, letting you fine-tune the fit in small steps and release it quickly when needed. Four colours are available: black, a mid brown, a darker coffee brown and a warm reddish brown. Lengths run from 43 to 51 inches. The dark buckle works with every strap colour, giving each a cohesive and slightly modern look.
It is designed to move easily between settings, from a navy suit at the office to chinos and a polo shirt at the weekend. The reddish brown in particular brings warmth to blue and grey, while black remains the most formal option. A practical gift for a husband, son or colleague, it also looks well alongside a navy wool flat cap and a casual jacket on cooler days.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
