A suede belt that sits between casual and refined: soft enough for a relaxed weekend and clean enough for a full work week. The matte suede has a texture that polished leather belts do not, and it works from morning to evening without needing to be swapped out.
The suede face is backed by cowhide leather for structure, so the belt holds its shape over time rather than stretching or folding at the buckle. At 1.4 inches wide, it threads through dress trouser loops without strain and is wide enough to anchor jeans or chinos. The silver-tone pin buckle sits flat and holds secure through the day. Every color shares the same buckle and the same suede construction, so changing colors changes the look but not the fit.
Choose a belt about 4 to 6 inches longer than your trouser waist; a 34 in waist typically wears a 38 to 40 in belt. When in doubt, size up, since the pin buckle adjusts across several holes. Brown and dark brown work across denim, chinos and casual trousers. Blue pairs with gray, navy and earth tones, and gray is the most understated choice for simple, single-color outfits. The matte finish keeps the belt from competing with the rest of the outfit.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
