A men's leather briefcase built for the daily commute, with three separate compartments in place of one deep well. The distressed, waxy finish and brass-tone hardware give it a rugged, lived-in look from the first day, and it carries through a train platform or an office lobby without looking like a gym bag.
It is full-grain crazy horse leather, a hide that builds a richer patina the more it is used, so light scuffs and creases become part of its character. The padded main compartment fits a 15 inch laptop, a middle section takes a 14 inch laptop or a stack of folders, and a front zippered section holds smaller items. Each front panel has its own zip pocket with a flat slip pocket above it for a phone or boarding pass, and a slim pen loop sits inside. The canvas lining protects the leather and keeps the bag lighter than an all-leather lining would.
Pack a laptop, a charger, files and pens, each in its own place. A leather-wrapped top handle sits well in the hand for short walks, and the detachable, adjustable strap with swivel hooks moves it to a crossbody carry for a longer commute or a walk to the gate. It is meant to be used hard for years.

Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
