A men's top-grain leather belt with a solid antique brass buckle: a classic belt for jeans and chinos, in lengths 39 to 51 in.
The strap is top grain leather with a natural, slightly mottled surface that shows the character of the hide, and the buckle is solid brass with an aged, antique finish. A screw fixing secures the buckle end, and a stitched leather keeper holds the tail neatly in place.
There are four colours to choose from: black, a deep coffee brown, a mid brown with warm tan highlights, and bordeaux, a reddish brown that brings a little richness to plain outfits. Lengths start unusually small, at 39 inches, and run up to 51, so it suits slimmer builds as well as broader ones. The simple, rectangular frame of the buckle keeps it versatile enough for both casual and smarter wear.
Wear the coffee or brown with indigo denim and suede boots, the black with grey trousers for the office, and the bordeaux with navy and cream for something a touch more individual. It ages gracefully and rewards a little care. As a present for a father, brother or groomsman it is a safe choice that never feels dull, and it pairs naturally with a tweed flat cap in autumn browns.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
