A waxed canvas roll-top backpack where traditional materials meet a practical layout. The thick waxed canvas sheds light rain and resists abrasion, so it holds up on the commute, the trail and everywhere between. Crazy horse leather trim at the straps, buckles and base panel develops a natural patina over time.
The roll-top lets you pack it down for a quick errand or fill it high for a weekend away: one cinch of the strap and a clip of the buckle adapts the volume. Inside, a padded sleeve holds a laptop up to 15.6 inches, with a vertical phone pocket and a slip pocket for cards, pens or a passport. A front flap pocket, closed by a leather-trimmed buckle strap, holds keys, earbuds or a wallet. Outside the profile stays clean, without dangling zippers or extra webbing. Curved shoulder straps spread weight across your back, and a reinforced top handle lets you grab and go. The crazy horse leather is full-grain cowhide with a waxy finish that deepens in color with use.
At roughly 15 liters rolled down, it suits daily carry without the bulk of a travel pack; unroll it for more. Waxed canvas can be re-waxed at home to restore its water resistance.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
