A rugged rucksack for men who move through the day without fussing over their gear. The heavyweight waxed canvas shell resists rain and everyday scuffs, and the crazy horse leather trim on the straps and buckle ages into a deeper patina with use. It has the look of a field pack with the structure of a daily backpack.
The roll-top flap fastens with a leather buckle strap over a zippered main compartment, giving quick access without leaving the bag open. Inside, a slot pocket and a zippered pocket keep small items apart, and a padded computer sleeve protects a laptop from bumps. A front flap pocket outside holds keys, a phone or a travel pass. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps spread the load evenly, so it rides well on the walk to the office, on a motorcycle or on a day hike. The structured canvas body holds its shape when full.
With roughly 20 liters of usable space, it takes a change of clothes, a charger kit and a packed lunch without feeling bulky. The khaki, olive and black options suit work clothes as well as weekend ones. Wear it with a waxed jacket, leather boots and dark denim on a weekend.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
