A waxed canvas roll-top backpack with a rugged, vintage-inspired body and a clean, practical outline. The roll-top buckles down for a secure close and opens up when you need room for a jacket, a change of shoes or things picked up during the day.
The oil wax canvas is water-resistant and develops its own worn-in character with wear. The top handle, base and adjustable shoulder straps are finished in genuine cowhide leather, which adds durability and a warm contrast to the canvas. Inside, a computer interlayer keeps a laptop separate from everything else, while an interior zip pocket, a phone pocket and a slot pocket keep keys, cards and cables from sinking to the bottom. A zippered front pocket gives quick outside access, so you do not need to open the roll-top for small things. The curved straps spread the load evenly across both shoulders, packed light or full.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
