A waxed canvas duffle bag for the weekend, sized for two or three days away yet compact enough to carry on. It is made for travelers who want a bag that looks lived-in from the start and holds up trip after trip. One bag covers short trips and travel-light work days.
The waxed finish gives the canvas a weathered, vintage character, and genuine leather trim reinforces the base and handles where the bag takes the most wear. The wide main compartment opens flat so clothing packs without folding twice. An interior slot pocket keeps a tablet or documents apart from the rest, and a zippered exterior pocket keeps a phone, wallet and travel papers within reach. Waxed canvas wears in rather than out, deepening in tone and softening at the creases with use.
The main compartment takes a 14 inch laptop when you travel for work. Twin leather-wrapped handles give a secure grip through a terminal or hotel lobby, and the removable, adjustable shoulder strap frees your hands. The soft-structured shape settles into an overhead bin or a car trunk. Choose light brown, green, gray, brown or black. At 2.2 lb it adds little to your load, and over the years the creases in the canvas record where it has been.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.

Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
