A canvas daypack made from heavyweight waxed-finish canvas that holds its shape and handles light rain without fuss. At 18 liters and a trim footprint, it rides close to the back and moves with you. It suits a commute across town or a weekend day trip.
A structured flap-top with a snap closure keeps the main compartment secure, and a drawstring beneath the flap adds a second layer that lets you expand or compress the bag to suit the load. The main compartment opens wide and has a zippered interior pocket, a phone pocket and accessory compartments, so nothing shifts around. A quick-grab exterior pocket sits beneath the flap for a travel pass, earbuds or a snack. The canvas is paired with a polyester lining that wipes clean. Padded shoulder straps spread the load for longer wear, and the pack stands upright on its own. A matte snap and tonal stitching keep the look plain.
Pack a sweater, a notebook, a water bottle and lunch for a day out, or the small things of an office day. The waxed surface develops a natural patina over time, so each bag becomes your own. Wear it with a chore coat, a crewneck or a light rain jacket.

Canvas & nylon: brush off dry dirt, then spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and let it air dry away from direct heat. Waxed canvas can be refreshed with fabric wax when the finish starts to fade; any leather trim is cared for like the leather below.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Empty the bag and stuff it lightly with paper when storing it, and keep it in a breathable dust bag rather than plastic.
Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
