A wide casual belt for jeans, boots and everyday wear. At 1.5 inches it is the standard width for jean belt loops. It is a casual belt, not a slim dress belt, and it suits denim, chinos and work pants.
The strap is cowhide leather with a distressed, two-tone finish. It softens and shapes to you within a few weeks, and the color deepens with wear. The rectangular copper pin buckle has weight to it and an aged finish. The buckle is held by a snap, so you can swap it later or replace it if you want a different look.
Lengths are measured from the buckle to the tip. The easiest way to choose is to measure a belt you already own from the buckle fold to the hole you use, then pick the closest length that leaves room for the tip. If you need another hole, add one with any leather punch or ask a cobbler. Wear it with dark denim and boots, or with chinos and a flannel shirt on the weekend. It comes in brown, tan or black, so it can match the boots you wear most often. Brown and tan sit easily with blue jeans and earth tones, while black works with darker denim and black boots. It is a belt to wear daily and let age along with your jeans.
The length shown is the full length of the strap. The simplest rule is to choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your usual trouser waist size.
For a closer match, lay a belt you already wear flat and measure from where the leather folds at the buckle to the hole you use most, then choose the nearest length. Ratchet and automatic belts have no holes and adjust in small steps.
Leather: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Once or twice a year, work in a little neutral leather cream, testing it first on a hidden spot. If it gets wet, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sun. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
Rest a belt between wears where you can, and store it hung by the buckle or loosely rolled.

Our pieces, out in the real world.
In 1924, our grandfather, Albert Whitley, opened a small outfitter’s shop in Yorkshire. Our father, Henry, carried it forward. Today, we continue the family business with the same belief: good materials, useful things and pieces made to be worn for years.
The counter may now be a website, but the standard remains much the same. Old craft. Modern wear.
Each piece names its exact material under Technical details, whether full-grain, top-grain or split leather, vegan leather or metal. If a piece is not listed as leather, it is not leather.
Pieces with a tracker slot say so under Technical details. The tracker itself is not included.
Dimensions, card capacity and laptop size are listed under Technical details for every piece. Belts are sized by full strap length: choose about 2 in (5 cm) above your trouser waist size. If you want us to confirm a fit before ordering, write to us.
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather cream, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Full-grain leather darkens and softens with use; that patina is part of its character.
