A men's check winter scarf in a softly blended jacquard plaid: the natural partner to a heavy winter coat and a flat cap.
Bold crossing lines run over a dark ground, from rust and brown on black to blue and grey, white and black, and a deep red check, with a short fringe at each end. It looks as right on a frosty hillside as it does on the walk to the office.
The cloth is a wool blend of 90% polyester and 10% wool. The polyester keeps it soft, light and resistant to creasing, while the touch of wool adds warmth and a drier, more natural handle than a purely synthetic scarf. It measures 180 cm long and 32 cm wide, enough to loop once and tuck into a coat, or to wrap twice when the wind picks up.
Five colourways are offered: black and tobacco, charcoal grey, black and white, navy and grey, and black and red. Each sits comfortably alongside our flat caps and newsboy caps, and together they make a considered gift for a father, husband, brother or friend this Christmas: practical, unfussy, and the sort of thing that gets worn every single morning.

Longer scarves take a Parisian knot or a double loop comfortably; shorter ones sit best draped once and crossed under a coat collar.
Polyester & acrylic scarves: hand wash cool or use a gentle cycle in a wash bag, then dry flat; a cool iron under a cloth smooths any creases.
Wool & cashmere scarves: hand wash cool with a wool detergent, or dry clean. Press the water out in a towel and dry flat; never wring or tumble dry.

Shipping. Free, tracked, to the United Kingdom and the United States. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 business days; delivery takes 6–12 business days to the UK and 8–15 to the US. Duties and import taxes are included in the price — nothing to pay on delivery.
Returns. 30 days from delivery, on any item that is unworn and unused, with tags, in its original packaging. Email support@oldtradinghouse.com with your order number to start one. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
