It is woven from 100% polyester and measures approximately 200 cm long by 70 cm wide, which makes it as much a wrap as a scarf: fold it lengthways for a neat loop at the collar, or leave it open and drape it across the shoulders when the wind picks up. It is machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle; do not bleach, iron or dry clean, and line dry in the shade to keep the colours steady.
The khaki and brown palette sits naturally with tweed, corduroy and waxed cotton, and it is an easy match for a brown or herringbone flat cap. Longer scarves take a Parisian knot or a double loop comfortably; shorter ones sit best draped once and crossed under a coat collar.
Polyester & acrylic scarves: hand wash cool or use a gentle cycle in a wash bag, then dry flat; a cool iron under a cloth smooths any creases.
Wool & cashmere scarves: hand wash cool with a wool detergent, or dry clean. Press the water out in a towel and dry flat; never wring or tumble dry.
